Chad Taylor started in the hospitality industry at the age of 18 managing clubs on the Gold Coast until opening his own restaurant at the age of 21. He then became operations manager of Hunter Valley Restaurant Management Services for 8 years. Catering for venues such as City Hall, Civic Theatre and Harbour View function centre, just to name a few. Around this time he teamed up with Adam Baker to branch out into a port container hire business and then the Depot from there.
Adam Baker, a fitter and turner by trade before landing the role as an operations manager of a large shipping and container business in Sydney. Next he moved on to owning and operating the very successful Newcastle Port Container Services before teaming up with Chad in the Depot on Darby St.
Shane Brunt is also the Executive Chef, starting his career at Scratchleys Newcastle before moving to London to work in a restaurant owned by Anthony Worrall-Thompson. Then he moved to Peppers Anchorage Resort, Port Stephens as a Sous Chef under John Mark Pollet. Next he accepted a Head Chef position at Rive in Noosa before jetting off to become a private chef in Latin America and Las Angeles. Upon return to Australia Shane took a position with Hunter Valley Restaurant Services and then Venturing to the Depot from there.
